Custodial Services Provided

Cleaning maintenance of restrooms, classrooms, offices, laboratories, gymnasiums, public areas, stairwells, building entrances, elevators, carpets, resilient and wood flooring, breezeways and swimming pools.

A crew of three Custodians specializes in year-round floor finishing of resilient and ceramic tile, hardwood, terrazzo and concrete surfaces.

A crew consisting of a Lead Custodian and two Custodians perform carpet cleaning on a routine schedule and by service request.

A Sunday evening crew cleans restrooms in the most heavily used weekend buildings to prepare for Monday morning classes.

An afternoon crew services restrooms Monday through Friday to assure that paper product dispensers are stocked and that restrooms receive cleaning attention throughout the day.

By operating just under 24 hours a day/seven days a week, Custodial Services provides the campus with extended service hours.

Services for campus events include set up, tear-down and clean-ups for students, campus events and for outside venues.

Assist in campus security by locking and unlocking buildings entrance doors and reporting unusual activity to Public Safety throughout the day or night.

Rapid Response: Custodial staff is dispatched throughout the day for special needs or emergencies such as spills, floods and other clean-up tasks.

Work Orders: In addition to general cleaning tasks, Custodians are assigned work orders, generated by faculty, staff or supervisors to have specific work completed.

Non-Emergency Maintenance Call-In: Custodians call the Customer Service Center, recording nightly to report maintenance concerns, thereby, facilitating early repair and upkeep of the campus buildings.

Refuse: Custodians collect office refuse on Mondays, Wednesdays and on Fridays – alternate days of recycle collection.

Recycling: Custodians collect recycled paper on Tuesdays and Thursdays in office areas.
