Project Design and Development
The Project Design and Development Division provides several important functions to the University:
- Maintains and updates all University building plans, campus utility distribution and collector system drawings.
- Develops and administers construction contracts for all special repairs and minor capital improvement projects.
- Oversees, coordinates and inspects new building construction, under the Physical Master Plan development and expansion program.
- Documents in-house and contracted campus improvement and ensures compliance with established standards and codes of regulation.
Upon request, the division will assist departments with evaluation of project feasibility, site survey work, preparation of required drawings and the development of construction specifications.
The division provides services that include drafting and the preparation of contract specifications as chargeable, non-maintenance items. Prints of campus maps and building floor plans are also available as a non-maintenance service.
