Integrated Waste Management
On the Recycling Horizon…
- Hard mixed plastics – buckets, horticultural plant pots and trays, molded chairs....
- Plastic sheeting, aka “plastic film” program expansion – some is done now by taking it to the Recycle Center, where it is baled with cardboard.
- Gypsum board
- New-style outdoor bottle and can recycling bins – would replace current cluster-style bins.
- Indoor bottle and can pilot programs- we are testing the feasibility of indoor bottle and can recycling at the Alumni Center, Facilities Services breakroom, and on the 1st-3rd floors of AIRC.
